Artist's Statement

 

My compositions combine abstraction, hard-edge painting, and photo-silk-screen imagery.   Using abstract painting, I create an environment or mood to enhance the vibe of the screened images.    Looking back at my work over the past couple of decades, I see that my art responds to my experiences in life.   As my life changes, so too do the ideas and motivations behind my work.    Therefore, I feel that it is more accurate to describe each series individually, rather than attempt to make a blanket statement about my body of work as a whole.   Under the "Galleries" section of this website, each series of work has its own explanation.
